The social progress made by Kalamazoo College’s residential system, much like the rest of Kalamazoo’s history, has been a slow and interesting process. It is particularly interesting to look at the college’s treatment of men and women.

This quarter, tensions reached a high point between Student Commission and The Index staff over cuts to the paper’s funding. After much deliberation, Student Commission surveyed its members to solve the problem of The Index’s wasteful spending.

They came up with an ingenious solution: scrolls.

“Inconvenient Stories,” a project which officially began in 1992, premiered at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in 2005 and has been traveling to museums across the United States ever since with his book, Inconvenient Stories: Portraits and Interviews with Vietnam Veterans.
