The Kalamazoo College women’s soccer team fought through some dreary conditions to a 1-1 tie at home against Albion on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Despite the incessant rain and bone-chilling cold, the Hornets managed to get some promising runs going in the first half.

The Kalamazoo College men’s soccer team suffered a close loss to Albion this Saturday, Oct. 10.

Albion took the lead early on in the game when Garrett Kulman scored for the Britons in the 7th minute on a breakaway. They struck again late in the 2nd half, leaving the final score at 2-0.

The Kalamazoo Hornets went 1-1-1 against small-school rival Albion College this week, as both the men’s and women’s soccer teams and the volleyball team faced the Britons in league matches.

Men’s Tennis

The men’s tennis team (15-8) defeated Calvin (16-7) 9-0 to claim their 71st consecutive MIAA Championship on Friday, May 1.

Five of the six singles matches were won in straight sets, with only Pat Boyd K’10 having to play to a third set at three singles.

Lindsay Zuhlke K’09 is playing her last season at Kalamazoo College. The women’s tennis player will compete in her last conference match during MIAA Championships at home on May 1.
