There is one member of the Kalamazoo College community whose story is more shrouded by mystery and legend than any other. Although David Dimcheff (codename: The Dimmer) has been a permanent fixture on campus and has wielded great but subtle influence over us all for the past 15 years as the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country coach, little about him is known.

Like Selma Blair, you too can drop out of K and become a famous actor. You might think ‘Don’t I need that sheet of paper I get when I graduate?’ The answer is no. Even after a single academically rigorous year here you’ll probably have a lot of what life can throw at you.

The minute Bobby Peterson K’12 got his roommate form during the summer, he eagerly filled it out, writing a detailed description of his sleeping habits and making sure to note that he was an extreme neat freak. Nowhere on the form was there any statement about whether or not students had a preference for honey or minded being stung every so often.

It was recently discovered that the 34-man baseball team is, in fact, also a militia.

First off, I would like to begin by simply asking why, in the midst of liberal K College, is The Index a fascist regime? I ask because, who in their right mind would ever elect TJ Kosinski as an editor-in-chief of a college newspaper? Much less, who would ever put the man in charge of anything?

In its current curriculum, Kalamazoo College requires its students to attend twenty-five LACs, or Liberal Arts Colloquiums, as part of the graduation requirement. With dozens of LACs offered each quarter, this is a feat easily achieved, but for senior Gerry Garner, it is quite the opposite.

Few students at Kalamazoo College are aware of the rare and illustrious beast that lives amongst them. No, I’m not talking about Christopher Simon K’09, but rather another, more mythic K senior: Sasquatch.

Also known as Big Foot, the large, hairy, bipedal humanoid came to Kalamazoo College for is liberal arts reputation and nationally recognized Cryptozoology department.
